Benefit dinner for child planned

Serenity Dobransky of Rainy River is a nine-year-old child who has congenital hip dysphasia.

Due to her condition, the daughter of Benji and Amanda Dobransky has had to undergo eight surgeries, with the first one being at just three months of age.

She also has the potential need for a hip replacement in the near future.

To help the family with costs due to her medical needs, such as physiotherapy and appointments, a benefit supper is being planned for Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Rainy River Legion beginning at 5 p.m.

It will feature chili, Caesar salad, breadsticks, and dessert, with admission being a free-will offering.

There also will be a penny table.

Organizers are hoping that through this benefit, the youngster will see how much the community cares for her.
