A seniors’ Bingo, sponsored by the Fort Frances Kiwanis Club, will be held at the Fort Frances Senior Centre (Sister Kennedy Centre) on Fridays from 1:30-3:30 p.m. starting today (Jan. 12). The cost is $2 per card, with the jackpot game being $1 per card.
The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Minnesota Iron Rangers in SIJHL action today (Jan. 12) at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for those 12 and under.

The Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association will hold its annual meeting Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Way School in Stratton. Guest speakers will be from the Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO) and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). Three changes to the RRCA’s constitution also will be voted on.
A “Finding Your Way” identification kit clinic will be held Friday, Jan. 19 from 1-3 p.m. at the Fort Frances Senior Centre (Sister Kennedy Centre). Come learn about the risks of loved ones with dementia going missing and how to use the kit to help provide information to searchers if they do. Everyone welcome.
The 38th-annual “Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard” 5K and 10K races will be held Saturday, Jan. 20 in conjunction with “Icebox Days” festivities in International Falls. Group discounts available. Other festival events include the Frostbite Falls Open, frozen turkey bowling, youth and adult smoosh races, a boot hockey tournament, chili challenge, and a winter fireworks display.
Museum winter workshops for adults are starting soon, beginning with cupcake decorating (instructed by M. Spooner) on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 1-4 p.m. at the Fort Frances Museum. Cost is $8. That will be followed by “Glass Suncatchers” (instructed by C. Pruys) on Monday, Jan. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at From the Grind Up, with the cost being $50.
