A reminder that the town's pool and fitness schedule will now be available only online. Registration for winter programs began today (Dec. 12) at 7 a.m. To register, please go to: fortfrances.ca/msc

Registration is open for winter workshops at the Fort Frances Museum. See the schedule of workshops on page A9 of yesterday's Times. Sign up early at the museum as classes fill up fast (full payment must accompany registration). The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Questions? Call 274-7891.

The “Nite Hawk Band” will play at the Legion on Friday, Dec. 13 from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. A $5 cover charge for non-members. Attendance prizes. It's also 50/50 draw night.

Photos with Santa will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for $2/family photo. The library also will have cookies, Christmas bingo, and Christmas carols.

The Fort Frances Choraliers will stage a performance of “Christmas Anthems” on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre. A bake sale will follow to defray costs. Admission is a free-will offering.

The Rainy Lake Community Orchestra will be performing a free concert at the Fort Frances Public Library on Monday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.

The Times' office will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Friday, Dec. 27 for the Christmas holidays. We will re-open Monday, Dec. 30.

The annual community Christmas dinner will be held Wednesday, Dec. 25 from noon-2 p.m. at Knox United Church. Admission is free and everyone is welcome!

Christmas dinner take out or delivery will be available on Wednesday, Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. at Emo Knox United Church. If you would like a Christmas meal, at no cost, contact Joyce Meyers (482-2086) or Janet Loney (482-2586). Anyone willing to help prepare supper or deliver meals is welcome.

A TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) group meets Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Church of the Holy Spirit (824 Victoria Ave.). TOPS can help you reach your weight-loss goals. First meeting is free. For more info, contact 807-577-5924.

The 908 Rainy Lake Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron is looking for new members. They meet Monday nights now through June 11, 2020 in the arena auditorium. Ages 12-18 welcome. Lions TV Bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday on Shaw Cable Channel 10. Bingo cards sold at the Fort Frances Times.

Free yoga for adults (16+) is being offered every Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. Instructor is Meghan Spooner.
