This year’s “Luncheon of Hope” is set for Saturday, Oct. 20 at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Tickets cost $25 each, and are on sale now at Pharmasave, Shoppers Drug Mart, Emo Health Centre, Rainy River Health Centre, and La Verendrye Hospital.
The Rainy River District Breast Health Network is pleased to welcome Dr. Carole Spread as the guest speaker this year.
Dr. Spread, the new surgeon at La Verendrye Hospital here, will share her perspective on breast cancer prevention strategies and treatment options.
There also will be a special appearance by “The Boobettes,” who you won’t want to miss.
The lucky winner of the “Quilt for the Cure” raffle will be drawn at the Luncheon of Hope.
Tickets for this beautiful queen-sized quilt, donated by the Cabin Country Quilt Guild, are on sale now for $2 each at various locations.
This will be the seventh Luncheon of Hope put on by the Rainy River District Breast Health Network, whose mission is to increase awareness about total breast health.
“We also promote the Riverside Breast Health Program, where women of all ages can get a clinical breast examination annually by a trained professional,” said Teresa Hazel, who is the current network chair.
Call 274-1900 to book your appointment with the Riverside Breast Health Program.
Women are encouraged to get their tickets early for this afternoon of hope and avoid disappointment.
