TORONTO—Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s teammates know to not to miss the star rookie's at-bats, especially when the game can be altered with one of his potent swings.

Washington defeated the Chicago White Sox 6-4 in the lone interleague matchup.

Over in the NL, Philadelphia downed San Diego 7-5; Arizona outlasted the L.A. Dodgers 3-2 (11 innings); Pittsburgh took down Atlanta 7-4; the N.Y. Mets shut out San Francisco 7-0; Miami cruised past Milwaukee 8-3; and the Chicago Cubs edged Colorado 9-8. The Cincinnati at St. Louis game was postponed.
