Fisher-Price recalls 65,000 baby seats due to fire hazard

WASHINGTON — Fisher-Price is voluntarily recalling about 65,000 motorized infant seats because of risk of a fire hazard.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says it has received three dozen reports of Soothing Motions Seats overheating and one report of a fire contained in the motor housing. The government agency says no injuries have been reported.

Teen kayaker says shark attack was like everything in ‘Jaws’

ADELAIDE, Australia — A massive great white shark was thrashing in the water on top of an upended kayak. But an Australian dad couldn’t see his daughter.

In a matter of seconds, 15-year-old Sarah Williams surfaced and was rescued by her father and brother from the shark attack she says was “everything you picture in the ‘Jaws’ movie.”

Museum in Michigan brings Model T driving to the masses

HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. — A different kind of driving lesson ‚Äî in a vehicle with a top speed of 40 mph (65 kph) that hasn’t been produced in nearly a century is gaining traction in western Michigan.

More than 500 people have learned to drive a Model T at the Gilmore Car Museum near Kalamazoo this year.
