EL PASO, Texas — Mexican and U.S. business leaders attending a large trade conference in the border town of El Paso said Thursday that their sectors will survive despite threats by President Donald Trump to dismantle or renegotiate the North American Free Trade Act which he has labeled the worst deal in U.S. history.

PHILADELPHIA — The heart of Philadelphia’s Italian Market was uncommonly quiet. Fine restaurants in New York, San Francisco and the nation’s capital closed for the day. Grocery stores, food trucks, coffee shops, diners and taco joints in places like Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston shut down.
