Congratulations to Kerry Hyatt for being accepted into the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association “Young Leader” program.

The selected candidates are matched with a mentor by a mentor selection committee. The youth are all at different stages of their careers and come from different backgrounds in the beef industry.

Youth in the program may be interested in learning more about a potential career choice in the beef industry, becoming more knowledgeable and well-connected in their current career, or wanting to learn more about what it means to be an industry leader.

Garnett and Rebecca Cornell and friend, Kelsey, have arrived to Devlin after an eventful trip from Guelph.

While travelling near the Mackinaw Bridge in Michigan, their vehicle hit a deer, which resulted in enough damage for their journey to be put on hold.

Thankfully, Kim Cornell was able to come to their rescue and bring them back safely.

Rebecca is home for the month of May while Garnett is here for the summer.

Robin’s 2¢:

While watching a program about fashion models, my friend turned to her husband.

“I would like to have a body like that,” she said.

“Why?” he asked. “You’d only stretch it out!”
