Two other fires in Red Lake District, which had started on previous days, also were called “out” yesterday.
Meanwhile, two new fires were reported in Thunder Bay District on Saturday.

The others are located in Pikangikum and southwest of Deer Lake in Red Lake District, as well as about 10 km west of Geraldton in Nipigon District.
No problems are anticipated with these fires.
The forest fire hazard is forecast to be “moderate” and “high,” with some areas tipping up into the “extreme” range.
No rain expected until mid-week and aggressive fire behaviour is predicted under these conditions.
