The next men’s breakfast will be this Saturday (Dec. 20) at 8 a.m. at the Emo Legion.
The usual $10 buffet this month will feature Pastor Conrad Dueck as guest speaker. He and his wife, Lois, and family moved into our community within the past year to become pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.
Conrad has a great heart for ministry to children and seniors, and all ages in between. He is prepared to share a message that is especially appropriate for the season.
The meal is always fantastic so come out, bring a friend, and meet with other guys from across the district.

The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary has a new project for the Emo Health Centre: to raise enough money to assist in the purchase of a cardiac heart monitor.
Costing roughly $14,000, the Emo Centennial Choir recently made a donation of $523.26, which was raised at its Christmas performance.
If anyone would like to make a donation to the heart monitor fund in memory of a loved one, or as a gift for a family member or friend, contact Chris Hartry at 487-2556. Tax receipts will be issued.
Meanwhile, if you are interested in joining the hospital auxiliary, the cost is just $ 2 a year (contact Chris for this, as well). Everyone is welcome to join.
The auxiliary also is in need of volunteers to assist in the hospital cafeteria from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. If you are interested, contact Wilma at 482-2217.
The hospital auxiliary would like to thank everyone for the support they have received from an extremely caring community.
Season’s Greetings to each of you and all the best for 2009!
