While I was away, there were two deaths in the community. I’d like to take this time to extend sincere sympathy to the families and friends of Bert VanDrunen and Philip Bellamy.

Sympathy and extended prayers, as well, to the family and friends of Don McTavish, who passed unexpectedly last week.

Kim and Pat Cornell returned home in the wee hours of Saturday morning after spending two weeks in England.

The couple travelled from coast to coast visiting family and friends, with one of the highlights being a visit to the original Cornell homestead.

The Cornells were able to visit with friends that they have not seen for six-seven years.

The roads were extremely narrow and windy, but Kim persevered with his tractor driving years coming in handy.
