Fundraiser dinner set

Robin McCormick

A community fundraiser dinner will be held this Friday (May 9) at the Emo Legion to help the Emo Health Centre purchase a new exam table.
One is needed for the nurse practitioner who is coming to join the team there, with the cost being about $11,000.
A roast beef and stuffed pork dinner, complete with all the fixings, will be served for $20 (advance tickets only!)
Renee Martin-Brown is arranging the after-dinner entertainment and there also will be a silent auction.
A dance will follow, with Maverick Judson volunteering his time as deejay (the cost to attend the dance only is $5).
Call 482-2250 for more information.

Sympathy to the family and friends of Barry Silander. He was a part of our community for many years and will be remembered for his friendliness—always having a “hi” and a big smile.
Our thoughts are with all the family and friends at this time.

A sure sign that spring is coming (I think) is the T.O.P.S. annual Salad Supper, which is set for Monday, May 26.
More information to follow next week.

Robin’s 2¢:
I recently heard a couple separated because of religious reasons.
Both parties thought they were God!
