The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce will recognize businesses, organizations and individuals for outstanding business achievement and the contributions made to the economic growth and prosperity of the Rainy River District at the 13th Annual Bell Business Awards Banquet set for Saturday, Nov. 8 at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Nominations are currently being accepted in 11 different categories including:
•Business of the Year—1-15 Employees (sponsored by B93 FM);
•Business of the Year—16+ Employees (Bell);
•Employee of the Year (The Westend Weekly);
•Business Woman of the Year (Business Woman’s Network);
•Entrepreneur of the Year (Rainy River Future Development Corp.);
•Tony Beyak Memorial Volunteer of the Year Award (Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce);
•Customer Service-Business Award (Business Development Bank of Canada);
•Customer Service-Individual Award (Good Impressions Printing);
•Safety Award-Business or Individual (AbitibiBowater);
•Small Business Trainer of the Year (NCDS Career Works); and
•Accessibility Award (Town of Fort Frances).
Any business in Rainy River District can be nominated and businesses do not have to belong to the Chamber to be eligible to win.
“We are so pleased to again host such a terrific event that recognizes the hard work of our business community. To give them that pat on the back that isn’t always there. It’s always nice to hear ‘good job’ and this is one way the community can do that” said Chamber manager Dawn Booth.
