During the course of the Business Retention and Expansion Program, a total number of 86 businesses were surveyed.
Following the survey analysis, several key issues were identified by the task force as being most likely to impact the future of the Fort Frances business community.
These then were developed into action plans to help make our local businesses and economy stronger and more competitive.
Now it is time to celebrate and let the community know what the task force has been up to.
If you wish to come out and see the results of the BR+E project, a public meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Fort Frances Museum to fill in the community, including businesses, on what the task force learned through the survey responses—and what it plans to do about it.
A light lunch and refreshments will be available, with the presentation starting at noon.
Invitations will be sent out to all participating businesses and organizations two weeks in advance. At that time, an executive summary of the report will be released.
All participating businesses that wish to get their own copy of the finalized BR+E report can do so at the public meeting or by calling the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce at 274-5773.
A copy of the presentation and final report also will be made public on the Chamber’s website for anyone who can not make the presentation meeting.
The Chamber encourages businesses to come out and see the results of what was a long and successful process of BR+E. Hope to see you there!
