HNO reps all should hold their heads high

A good experience, I believe, for all was had at the HNO U-16 POE tournament. It saw six teams from the Ontario branches that fall under Hockey Canada bring their top 1995-born players to showcase them for the selection of the Team Ontario U-16 team.

Regional squad goes winless at prospects event

The regional squad lost all six of its games at the tournament, which is designed to allows players from across the province to showcase their skills in an attempt to join Team Ontario at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax in February.
Local spikers bullish after Sudbury trip

Three local players—Jacob Hawley, Brandon McGinnis, and Gavin Moorhouse—were part of Team Northwestern’s first match win in two decades, with the squad returning home with a pair of victories en route to a sixth-place finish.
Taylor captures four medals at Summer Games

The 16-year-old member of the Fort Frances Aquanauts grabbed silver in both the 400m I.M. (4:59.44) and 200m I.M. (2:19.76), meeting his own high expectations in those two events.
