The Township of Morley Land Division Committee has received an application for consent in the Township of Morley in respect of the lands as described below:

Purpose:The purpose and effect of the application is to sever one part of approximately 15.359 hectares to create a new lot.
The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the nature of the application, invite public input, advise how to make comments on the application and to advise the public of future notifi cation and appeal rights.
NEED TO MAKE SUBMISSIONS: If a person or public body that files an appeal of the decision of the Township of Morley Land Division Committee as the approval authority, in respect of the proposed consent, does not make written submission to the Committee before the Committee gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss the appeal. It is the intent of the Land Division Committee to consider the application at a public meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at the Morley Municipal Offi ce.
REQUESTING NOTICE OF DECISION: Any person or public body may appeal a decision of the Land Division Committee not later than 20 days after notice of the decision is given. Domtar Inc., Dryden Pulp Mill Operations, which utilizes annually 1.8 million m3 of conifer fi bre and manages the Trout Lake and Wabigoon Sustainable Forest Licenses with combined area of approximately 1.7 million hectares, is seeking an individual to join our Forestlands Team.
ASSISTANT OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER
Forestlands Department
Reporting to the Operations Team Lead and working in conjunction with the Forestlands Team, your role will be to assist and support the team in the implementation of Domtar’s safety, forest stewardship, production and quality standards for Domtar’s contract harvest and haul on the Trout Lake and Wabigoon Forests.
More specifically, you will:
• Work with the Operations Team Lead to develop operational plans to meet the supply needs of both Domtar and external customers.
• Participate in the budgeting process as well the development of Annual Work Schedules and Annual Reports.
• Supervise Domtar’s contract harvesting and haul operations to ensure compliance with the Trout Lake and Wabigoon Forest Management Plans.
• Lead the Operations Team with planning and monitoring of road construction and road maintenance.
• Liaise with the MNRF on operational issues.
As the ideal candidate you possess a Forestry degree and you are eligible for membership with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association. A suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered. You bring a minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated leadership that has produced successful business results together with strong beliefs and behaviors in safety, professional ethics and environmental values. You have solid operational skills, experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and will be required to be certified in compliance (FOIP) inspection. You will have solid business skills (entrepreneurial, negotiation, cost competitiveness, business planning, strategic thinking and results forecasting). As a team player you will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse group of forest industry, government, resource users and community members.

Couchiching First Nation is seeking a highly professional,
knowledgeable individual who has the vision, courage and
dedication to employ as the Director of Community Operations.
As the Director, you will have an unwavering commitment and
focus on successful implementation of the annual operating
plan, and achieving long-term financial sustainability. Reporting
to the Chief and Council, the Director will also be responsible to
provide strategic leadership to the financial and administrative
functions of the organization ensuring exceptional service and
overall accountability to community members. The Director will be
responsible for the supervision of the Program Managers and the
Finance Department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Commerce, Business
Administration, Financial Management or equivalent postsecondary education;
• Must have at minimum five (5) years experience as a senior
manager of a medium organization, not-for-profit organization or
First Nation/Tribal organization;
• Knowledge of Aboriginal Funding Agencies such as AANDC;
• Knowledge of managing all financial aspects including budgeting,
monthly reporting and annual audits;
• Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures,
compensation and benefits program administration;
• Ability to work with various software packages (Microsoft Office,
Internet, ACCPAC, is an asset);
• Excellent organizational, administrative and leadership skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
• A valid Driver License.

Summary of Position:
The Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre is currently accepting applications
for an Aboriginal Health Educator. This position is a permanent full-time
position, to begin in January 2017. The Aboriginal Health Educator will act
part of the interdisciplinary team and work closely with the Diabetes Team
and Registered Dietician and community partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Aboriginal Health Educator will work to:
• Increase community awareness of the seriousness of chronic diseases,
their risk factors, complications, and potential strategies for prevention of
complications.
• Improve understanding about healthy lifestyle choices and to promote
better self-management behaviors among Aboriginal individuals and their
families.
• Introduce healthy eating and active lifestyle options in the Aboriginal
communities, organizations, and schools.
• Establish support groups for Aboriginals and their families to lead healthy
eating and active living initiatives.
• Support smoking cessation and prevention activities.
These objectives will be achieved through providing community based
programming including fitness instruction, nutritional information, dangers
of tobacco, promotion of smoking cessation, diabetes prevention, workshops
and promotion of healthy eating and active living to children and their
families, as well as coordination of events related to Health Lifestyles.
Qualifications:
• College or university diploma in health education or a related field.
• Certified Fitness Instructor (preferred) or experience in delivering fitness
instruction, CanFit Pro certification an asset.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in health education and promotion or
a related field.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends as required.
• Proof of a valid Ontario Drivers license and access to a vehicle.
Desired:
• Fluency in the Ojibwe language a definite asset.
• Prior experience working with aboriginal people.
• Current CPR certification.
