DESCRIPTION:
Weechi-it-te-win Family Services is currently seeking a Developmental Services
Intake Coordinator/Family Navigator is a full time, permanent position which will
work within a culturally competent system of care and as such will acknowledge
and incorporate, at all levels, the importance of culture, the expansion of cultural
knowledge, and the overall vision of Weechi-it-te-win Family Services (WFS).
The Intake Coordinator will foster cultural awareness through active participation
in an inductive learning process, gaining an understanding of historical trauma
and impacts of oppression and how these relate to current issues within
Indigenous family services.
The Intake Coordinator will act as a single point of access for inquiries, intake,
coordination and navigation of services for children with intellectual and
developmental disabilities within a trauma informed, culturally safe and
rehabilitative framework.
RESPONSIBILITY:
The Intake Coordinator reports to the Developmental Support Services Manager
of Weechi-it-te-win Family Services.
DUTIES:
• Receives referrals and provides brief eligibility screening for potential clients;
• Greets and screens walk-in referrals;
• Acts as a single point of access for all inquiries, intakes, service coordination and
system navigation;
• Answers and directs all calls to WFS Developmental Support Services;
• Provides the appropriate referral forms to potential referral sources that inquire
about WFS Developmental Support Services;
• Provides intake sessions for all eligible clients of WFS Developmental Support
ServicesAccepts, responds to, and manages referrals to various programs within
the WFS Developmental Support Services such as “visiting grandparents program”;
• Provides written documentation to the client case record for client participation
in various programs such as respite and the visiting grandparents program;
Ensures written documentation to the client case record for psychological
assessments coordinated by the WFS Developmental Support Services;
• Participates and contributes to clinical team meetings and/or group supervision
to review cases; Schedules appointments for Occupational Therapy, psychological
assessment, and the visiting grandparents program;
• Schedules respite services for clients and their families;
• Coordinates referrals for psychological assessment and occupational therapy;
• Coordinates referrals for developmental therapy including early intervention
programs;
• Coordinates referrals for speech, language, OT or physiotherapy to other local
service providers;
• Coordination and oversight of the “Visiting Grandparents” cultural development
program; Coordination and oversight of the Family Respite program; Provides
quality assurance by following up on assessments and ensuring that necessary
referrals are made.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor Degree in Social Work or other human services related field;
• Knowledge of and experience in traditional healing practices, and experience in
working with Elders and Healers;
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the delivery of children’s health, education
or mental health services;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Work experience in the area of service coordination;
• Ability to speak the Ojibway language is preferred;
• Specialized training in trauma informed practices and culturally safe practices for
early intervention and developmental services;
• Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports;
• Knowledge of legislation around access and release of personal health
information, confidentiality, and storage/safekeeping of client records;
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License; and be able to submit a driver’s abstract.

(Full Time Permanent Position)
DESCRIPTION:
Weechi-it-te-win Family Services is currently seeking a Developmental Therapist.
The Developmental Therapist will provide direct services within a trauma
informed, culturally safe and rehabilitative framework. The Developmental
Therapist will participate in the development and implementation of individual
care plans and goals inclusive of the individual, family and community input.
RESPONSIBILITY:
The Developmental Support Services Therapist will report to the Developmental
Support Services Manager.
DUTIES:
• Provides global screening of children and youth and identifies specific areas of
strength and need;
• Recommends culturally safe, trauma informed developmental screening or
assessment tools;
• Responsible for the development of child/youth treatment plan in collaboration
with the child’s family and other service providers;
• Responsible for the documentation and appropriate dissemination of client
discharge summaries;
• Responsible for ongoing documentation to the child’s/youth case record to
ensure compliance with all regulations;
• Engages and coordinates case conference for the planning, progress reporting
and discharge of children/youth from the developmental support
services program;
• Prepares for and attends developmental support services team meetings and/
or group supervision to review cases;
• Adheres to all legislation around privacy, safe storage of records and release/
access to information;
• Provides developmental therapy to children or youth as per their plans;
• Ensures developmental services are provided in a culturally safe manner;
• Carries out recommendations made by occupation therapists;
• Delivers culturally safe, trauma informed Early Intervention Programs to
individuals or groups;
• Successfully participates and completes professional development training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Psychology or an Early Childhood Education
diploma with a minimum of 5 years experience working in a developmental
capacity with children;
• Knowledge of and experience in traditional healing practices, and experience in
working with Elders and Healers;
• Professional experience in development assessment and report writing;
• Knowledge of current, trauma informed, best practices for early intervention and
developmental therapy;
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain compassionate, supportive and
empowering relationships with individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities;
• Capacity to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility;
• Ability to apply intervention crisis strategies;
• Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports;
• Respect for individuals and their right to share in decisions about their care;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are a necessity;
• Ability to speak Ojibway or understand the Anishinabe language;
• Must possess valid Ontario Driver’s License; and be able to submit a drivers abstract.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Assistant-Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk is directly
responsible for performing data entry and related duties in posting accounts
receivable transactions. This includes maintaining ledgers, credit balances,
and resolving account irregularities. The Administrative Assistant-A/R Clerk
will also administer claims, refunds, adjustments, and any other accounting
transactions related to A/R functions. This position involves diplomatic
interaction with customers to provide billing information and support in
order to facilitate swift payment of invoices due to the organization.
JOB DUTIES:
• Collaborate with the Director of Administration or Finance Department to
maintain collection goals and general A/R performance levels;
• Receive and fill out receipts for third party payments, whether by cash,
cheque and other forms of payment;
• Post and reconcile customer payments to general ledgers;
• Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments
and/or corrections to billing records;
• Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate
to the organization and its customers;
• Advise customers on A/R policies and procedures for payments;
• Make arrangements for payment of outstanding and late accounts; escalate
transfer to delinquent accounts;
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or misapplied cash transactions.
• Send out monthly statements to customers;
• Perform other administrative duties within Seven Generations Education
Institute;
• Assist in other areas of finance, when required..
REQUIREMENTS:
• Accounting diploma or working towards accounting degree or diploma and
five (5) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience, preferred;
• Five (5) years’ direct experience in an A/R capacity;
• Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, financial records;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically excel and word;
• Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and
preparing financial reports;
• Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations;
• Basic knowledge of accounting systems/software (Sage 300-AccPac),
budgets, and internal controls.

MANAGER OF
FAMILY SERVICES
The Manager of Family Services is a full-time permanent position.
The Manager of Family Services provides leadership and day-today direction for all Family Services team functions. The Family
Services team consists of a Family Counsellor, Family Services Worker,
Customary Care Worker, Family Preservation Worker, Child-inCare Worker and Program Support Worker. The Manager of Family
Services reports to the Manager of Administration in all aspects of
job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or other relevant field from an
accredited University is preferred;
• Bachelor degree in Social Work or other relevant field from an
accredited university is necessary;
• A combination of 10 years’ progressive Child Welfare experience
and other post-secondary education and training may be considered;
• Thorough knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act (Part 2
and 3) and regulations, provincial court applications, especially in
the application of Part X relating to Customary Care of Rainy River
First Nations;
• Five (5) years’ experience and knowledge of the Weechi-it-te-win’s
Service Delivery Model, policy and guidelines;
• Five (5) years’ experience of client counselling and staff supervision,
program management, some of which must have been in Ontario.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• Successful candidate must provide a current Driver’s Abstract,
current Criminal Reference Check, including Vulnerable Sector
Screening satisfactory to the First Nation;
• Must sign and abide by the Oath of Confidentiality;
• Must adhere to the Rainy River First Nations Drug Testing Policy;
• Possess First Aid/CPR Certificate or obtain within one (1) month
of hire;
• Ability to work flexible work hours, which will include evenings
and weekends;
• Must have valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle.

FOR THE
Operation, Maintenance and Management Services for The Fort Frances Waste Water Treatment Plant, Sewage Pumping Stations and Provisional Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) Functions for the Waste Water Collection and Water Treatment Systems

The work will generally consist of providing comprehensive equipment and services deemed necessary for the successful operation, maintenance and management of the Town of Fort Frances’ Waste Water Treatment Plant and Sewage Pumping Stations.
