Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the Journeyperson Industrial
Mechanic (Millwright) ensures that work is completed safely. Will perform
equipment maintenance according to standards, procedures and practices
set out by industry, government and Norbord. Will troubleshoot and
repair hydraulic systems, reducers, valves, sprockets, cylinders, chains,
regulators, bearings, and all other moving components. Must participate in
Root Cause Analysis reviews after a mechanical failure, or as requested.
Must have knowledge of and experience in hoisting and rigging, with
associated hand signals, and the proper use of slings and shackles to
perform proper lifts in a safe manner. May be required to do routes, PM’s,
emergency work orders, corrective work, shift coverage and ongoing
training, as well as be responsible for housekeeping in the shop and work
areas. Will also be required to work inside and outside. Required to work
with operations and other trades people to promote a team environment.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
and must have successfully completed a formal education in Industrial
Mechanics. A Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial
Mechanic (Millwright) is required. Preference will be given to those
candidates with Interprovincial Red Seal Certification. Must have
demonstrated effective teamwork, communication and safety skills and be
able to fulfill all physical requirements of the job. The successful applicant
must also be detail oriented and self-motivated.

Job Duties:

Qualifications
1. Must be a team player.
2. College Diploma or University Degree, CGA preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years experience working with First Nations and/or
Aboriginal Organizations.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience in financial management and
accounting principles.
5. Knowledge and Experience with accounting and payroll software
programs, e.g.: Adagio, PayDirt, PayWorks.
6. Excellent communication skills including ability to work with tact and
discretion.

Job Description
• Maintain area around pipeline facilities and pipelines, service
  equipment, perform any combination of following tasks: Load and
  unload material, tools, and equipment to and from trucks by hand.
• Work in and around excavations, hand dig and clear ground
  around pipe using shovel, etc.
• Clean and prepare pipe for coating application and assist in
  applying coating to the pipeline facilities.
• Assist in carrying and moving of tools, materials, equipment, etc.,

• Assist welder in pipeline welding and related fabrication work.
• Provide safety watch for work being performed.
