The potential candidate will be able to perform various manual labor
tasks that assist the Integrity crew with the installation, maintenance
and repair of our gas transmission line and its equipment. General
mechanical experience would be an asset as the candidate may be
required to work around heavy equipment and maintain equipment,
e.g., pumps, generators, and compressors, with the assistance of
crew members.
Job Description
• Safely and skillfully operate equipment, shovels and hand tools
  to dig around pipelines and other utilities, uncover lines, and
  backfill trenches.
• Clean and prepare pipe for coating application and assist in
  applying wrap and coating of the pipe.
• Assist in carrying and moving of tools, materials, equipment, etc.,
  associated with pipeline excavation, right of way maintenance, etc.
• Work as a welder’s helper when needed for pipeline work
  and fabrication.
• Maintain work area around pipeline facilities, excavations, service
  equipment, load and unload materials from trucks and equipment
  by hand, any combination of the associated tasks.
• Work as a team member to safely and efficiently complete
  work activities.
• Safety/Fire watch duties. Organize tools and equipment, clean
  trucks/trailers and welding shop as required.
Job Requirements
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  (drivers abstract).
• Pre- employment and random drug screening is a condition
  of employment.
• Hold a passport with a clean record to gain a temporary US
  working visa.
• Wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) while
  performing duties.

Position Summary
As a member of the Mino Ayaa Ta Win Services Team, the Mino Ayaa Ta
Win Cook is a full time position in the Mino Ayaa Ta Win Healing Centre
and includes light housekeeping duties. The Cook is responsible for meal
planning, preparation and for supervising and maintaining the operation of
the kitchen and dining facilities of the Mino Ayaa Ta Win Healing Centre. The
Cook will ensure the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and that
the residence is regularly maintained.
Job Duties
• Maintains proper sanitary conditions in the cooking and dining areas;
• Plans and posts a weekly menu;
• Plans a weekly grocery list and purchases or arranges for the purchase of
groceries under the supervision of the Mino Ayaa Ta Win Manager;
• Provides well-balanced and nutritious meals following the Canada Food

• Attends staff meetings as requested by Mino Ayaa Ta Win Manager.
• Food Handler’s Certificate; is preferred;
• An understanding and appreciation of Anishinaabe cultural beliefs, values,
norms, ceremony, teachings and a commitment to continue learning,
participating and advocating during any opportunity provided by the
Agency or Community;
• Experience in commercial or institutional cooking and housekeeping;
• 2 years’ experience in cooking for large groups, including preparation of
meals for diabetics and others on special diets;
• Working knowledge of the Canada Food Guide;
• First Aid/CPR;
• Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s “G” License, have a good driving record,
be insurable and willingness to upgrade to 10 passenger license;
• Must successfully pass a Criminal Reference Check.
• Anishinaabemowin – Ability to communicate effectively in Ojibway a
definite asset;
• Experience working with First Nations people in a First Nation community
and/or First Nation organization.
