the Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe public
environment in the main Historical Centre, the cabin, and the Roundhouse.
The custodian will clean and oversee inventory of all cleaning and
consumable supplies. This position is a permanent, part-time position
which requires 24 hours of work per week at a rate of $19 an hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent;
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in cleaning or custodial services;
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with staff and the public;
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture & Rainy River First Nations desired;
• Comfortable with physical activity (some heavy lifting may be required);
• CPR/First-Aid certification is an asset.

General Description
The Case Aide is a contract term program support position. The Case Aide
provides assistance and support to the front-line workers of the CCP team
and is responsible for case management services to children in care and
families for which they service.
The role of the Case Aide is based on establishing a trusting relationship with
families and individuals in order to help and to support them and as such
will not undertake protection responsibilities within the team, however still
has a duty to report.
Responsibilities:
• Provide relevant, competent support services to all members of
Naicatchewenin First Nation children who are in temporary or long term
care of the agency.
• Ensure support services are delivered with excellence and conform to
provincial legislation, regulations and standards and the First Nation and
Community Care Program vision, procedures, guidelines and protocols.
• Ensure that children and families receive the highest quality of support
services through decision making that is done with the best interests and
well-being of every child.
• Consult/liaise with front-line workers regarding visits for children in care
with their families;
• Transport children to and from family and sibling visits.
• Transport children to and from the following: medical, dental and optical
appointments; specialized appointments such as treatment and therapy;
School, court or other important events.
• Transport parents to and from child’s appointment, as deemed
appropriate.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers in the vehicle while transporting.
• Supervise parents and child access visits.
• Model appropriate behaviours and language in child or family presence.
• Prepare case notes.
• Serve as resource to the supervisor and the team.
• Attend team meetings, staff meetings, trainings as deemed necessary.
• Maintain vehicles in good working order and follow vehicle procedures.
• Provide assistance to other program staff as directed by the supervisor.
• Other duties as mutually agreed upon.
Qualifications:
• Ability to speak Aanishinaabemowin a definite asset.
• Social Services Diploma or high school diploma with 2 years direct
related experience.
• However, those with a combination of skills, education and experience
that would allow them to do the job may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act and
supporting regulations;
• Strong commitment to help children and their families by providing
support services in a way that respect the Naicatchewenin First Nation
cultural and spiritual practices.
• Commitment to provide support services in the Anishinaabe context of
extended family and community involvement.
• Committed to ensure the highest level of confidentiality at all times.
• Ability to take direction and work within the CCP policies, procedures and
guidelines.
• Experience working with high risk and special needs children.

AN HVAC DESIGN FIRM FOR THE
COMPLETION OF THE DESIGN ACTIVITIES
FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE EXISTING
HVAC SYSTEM AT THE FORT FRANCES
MUSEUM (259 SCOTT STREET), REPLACEMENT
OF THE AC UNIT WITH A PACKAGED UNIT
AND THE ADDITION OF AN HRV UNIT AT THE
MEMORIAL SPORTS CENTRE 52 CANADIANS
ARENA (720 SCOTT STREET).
RFP NO. 19-OF-09
The Town of Fort Frances wishes to obtain proposals from a reputable
firm to complete the design and consultation for an upgraded HVAC
system at the Fort Frances Museum located at 259 Scott Street.
Additionally, the design package is to include the replacement of a
rooftop AC unit with a packaged system and the addition of an HRV
unit to the existing HVAC system present at the 52 Arena located in
the Memorial Sports Complex at 720 Scott St. The successful firm
must complete all design activities including creation of all required
drawings and specifications for construction.
Sealed proposals in triplicate clearly marked “RFP No. 19-OF-09”
will be received by the Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances (the
“Town”) up to but not later than:
2:00 p.m. Local Fort Frances Time
Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019
After which time such proposals will be opened publicly and read
aloud at the Fort Frances Civic Centre, 320 Portage Avenue, Fort
Frances, Ontario.

The term of office for these vacancies will be September 1, 2020 to
August 31, 2023 with eligibility for a second three-year term.
