The Wolves rolled to an 11-0 victory to improve their record to 1-1.

‘Safer tomorrow’ theme of Police Week

Everyone in Rainy River District can play a leadership role in making our communities safer, Rainy River District OPP detachment commander Insp. Steve Shouldice said Monday at the kick-off to Police Week locally.
“Our partnership with our communities is essential in preventing crime and making our citizens safer,” said Insp. Shouldice.

Local fundraiser in the works for Manitoba family

A local woman is planning a fundraising bake sale and garage sale here this Saturday for a Manitoba family that’s currently going through some tough times.
“I just thought that there must be something I can do,” reasoned Lisa Lee of Fort Frances, who grew up with Erin Brunel in Swan River, Man.
