Join park guide Joe Veeder and travel back in time to explore life as a gold miner on Rainy Lake. Learn about “Gold Bug” Jimmy and the colorful characters that lived in Rainy Lake City.
Participants will discover how gold was found and see the tools of the miners.
The program is Friday, Aug. 24 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Woodenfrog State Forest Refectory.
Friday Evening Programs are given every week this summer at the Woodenfrog State Forest Campground Refectory near Kabetogama, Mn. from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Voyageurs National Park. No fee or registration is required to attend.
