Plenty of tickets left for concerts

The big tent at the Sorting Gap Marina will be rockin’ tonight through Saturday with all the nighttime entertainment lined up for the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.
Legendary Canadian rockers “Trooper” will take the stage tonight and some tickets are still left. They cost $25 in advance, which are available at the bass site prior to the concert.
If there’s any left, tickets will be sold at the door for $30.
You also can get admission to “Trooper,” along with the concerts tomorrow night and Saturday, with the three-night entertainment pass being sold on-site for the bargain price of $40.
Gates will open at 8 p.m. tonight, with local opening act “Crisis” taking the stage at 9. Admission is age of majority only.
The fun will continue Friday, with “Tyzen, Master of Suggestion” giving a free family show at 7 p.m. under the big tent, followed by Bon Jovi and Journey tribute artists, “Bon Journey,” at 9:30.
“Bon Journey” tickets cost $15 at the door. This also is restricted to age of majority.
And the music won’t stop Saturday evening. John Rafferty & Friends will perform a short set under the big tent from 6:15-6:30 p.m., followed by one-man band Pat Brett from 6:30-7:30.
These shows are free.
Then well-known local band, “Thinking of Pinky,” will cap off the night with an age-of-majority show at 9 p.m.
Tickets cost $10 at the door.
In related news, the Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a dinner featuring Chicken Kiev and a baked potato under the big tent today from 4-7 p.m.
Tickets for this cost $12 each.
