    Kayden Ellis, who is almost two, enjoyed playing in the “car” at the “Kids Being Kids” program offered Thursday mornings at the Sunset Country Métis Hall here. Run in part by the local Best Start Hub, the playgroup remains the only outreach programming available by the organization. All other outreach programming has been cancelled as of last week.

    Getting the freezers stocked with snack foods in anticipation of Sunday’s Super Bowl parties, local owner Chris McKinnon donned a red nose today for M&M Meat Shops’ 21st-annual Red Nose Day. Staff at more than 400 M&M Meat Shops across Canada, including here in Fort Frances, wore red noses aimed at helping customers beat the winter blues and brighten their day with a dose of laughter.
