More than $15,179 was raised in 2007 by the Fort Frances Wal-Mart’s in-store fundraising and sponsored activities for local community groups and a range of national charities.
The local charities that received much-needed financial support from the store were selected by Wal-Mart associates.
The 2007 fundraising activities included raising $1,149 for Fort Frances High School, $1,650 for local associates in need, and $4,682 for George Jeffrey Children’s Foundations.
