Against the blue spring sky, the new metal banners on Scott Street are looking good. The banners were commissioned by the BIA, designed and finished by local artist Lindsay Hamilton, and made with the help of teacher Robert Guertin’s Grade 11/12 manufacturing class at Fort Frances High School. The students copied jpeg files of the banner designs into vector files in AutoCAD so the computer numerical control (CNC) plasma cutter at the high school could read the files and cut out the banners.
