Muskie duo still alive at all-Ontarios

After winning their first two matches yesterday, Muskie badminton players Tim Desjardins and Jamie Jensen lost their third one to drop down to the ‘B’ division in boys’ doubles play at the all-Ontario badminton championships.
The duo opened with a two-set victory over Ryan DeMarchant and David Chuang (Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference) by scores of 21-12 and 22-20.

Then they went on to edge Jonathan Tessier and Michel Robin (North Eastern Ontario Athletic Association) in three sets.
They won the first one 24-22, lost the second 20-22, then bounced back to take the rubber 21-19.
But the pair couldn’t make it three wins in a row, losing in two sets to Ian Lau and Jackson Tan (Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association) by scores of 21-14 and 21-6.
Their first match today was at noon (CDT).
Desjardins and Jensen advanced to OFSAA after finishing in second place with a 3-1 record at the NWOSSAA championships back on April 23 in Wawa.
The 2008 badminton championships are being hosted by A.N. Myer Secondary School in Niagara Falls, but all matches are being played at Brock University in St. Catharines.
