Preds will take Game 3: Subban

NASHVILLE—A good night's sleep has P.K. Subban more confident than ever about what the Nashville Predators will do on their own ice trailing the Pittsburgh Penguins 0-2 in the Stanley Cup final.

He delivered an all-star guarantee for Saturday night.

“There's no question,” Subban said yesterday.

“We're going to win the next game and then we'll move forward.”

Ducks even series with overtime victory

NASHVILLE—Corey Perry just keeps finding the net in overtime this post-season, and his third goal in extra time helped the Ducks tie the Western Conference final at 2-2 last night.

Perry's shot deflected in off Nashville defenceman P.K. Subban's stick 10:25 into overtime as the Ducks snapped the Predators' 10-game home playoff winning streak with a 3-2 victory.

‘Music City’ set for party

NASHVILLE—“Music City” finally is ready to show the NHL just how big a party this town can throw, and it’s only fitting that Barry Trotz will be coaching in Nashville’s first all-star game.

Trotz helped build hockey in Nashville, coaching the Predators from their expansion start in 1997, and he earned a trip to this all-star game thanks to the Washington Capitals.
