Emo Fair a success for locals

The Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society’s 2012 fall fair in Emo was fun for all this year, however locals proved to be winners in several areas.

Kelvin Caul captured the “Champion Logger” title, Orville Smith took home the logger safety award, and Brent Keller earned the rookie logger award.

As well, Jamie Davis took the checkered flag both Friday and Saturday nights.

Roast beef supper slated

A roast beef supper is planned for Sunday, June 10 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dance Hall.

The menu will include Yorkshire pudding, all the fixings, and homemade dainties for dessert.

Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids aged six-12 (those five and under eat free), with proceeds to help keep the Dance community history alive.
