Bingo resumes at Emo Legion

The Emo Legion has started its fall Bingos again, with doors opening at 6 p.m. each Tuesday.

Come out and enjoy an evening of Bingo—you even might take home some cash!

Proceeds help the Legion fund its many charities.

A reminder, as well, that seniors’ carpet bowling and lunch goes every Thursday at the Emo Legion

Games begin at 9 a.m., with lunch served at noon.

Dance supper slated Sunday

The first supper of the year at the Dance Hall will go this Sunday (May 31) from 5-7 p.m. (doors open at 4:45 p.m.)

The menu will consist of ham, turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and all the trimmings, plus a wide variety of homemade dainties and desserts.

The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids aged six-12 years (those five and under eat free).

Fundraiser dinner set

A community fundraiser dinner will be held this Friday (May 9) at the Emo Legion to help the Emo Health Centre purchase a new exam table.

One is needed for the nurse practitioner who is coming to join the team there, with the cost being about $11,000.

A roast beef and stuffed pork dinner, complete with all the fixings, will be served for $20 (advance tickets only!)

Spring brings fun activities

A ham/turkey supper, also featuring salads, potatoes, veggies, and homemade dainties, is planned for Sunday, May 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dance Community Hall (doors won’t open until 4:45 p.m. this year).

The cost is $12 for adult and $6 for kids aged six-12 (those five and are free).

Funds raised will go towards maintenance of the hall and keeping history alive in Dance.

Annual card party planned

The Emo Legion will hold its annual Betty Kellar Memorial card party on Saturday, Jan. 5.

As well, the Emo Legion will host a curling bonspiel on Jan. 11-12.

The cost is $160 per team, which includes supper.
