Fall fair is here

The annual fall fair in Emo runs tomorrow through Saturday (Aug. 18-20) at the fairgrounds.

It once again will feature a full schedule of events, including the midway, parade, queen crowning, loggers’ competition, stock car races, and musical entertainment, not to mention the scrumptious food to indulge in.

‘Castin’ for Cash’ still has openings

The annual “Castin’ for Cash” finishing tournament, hosted by Lake Despair Lodge, is set to go July 8-9 this year.

Some 58 teams already have registered for the tournament, which can take up to 65.

Along with the excitement of the 4 p.m. weigh-ins both days, there also will be food booths to enjoy.

Live music by local talent will perform on the Saturday evening.

Salad supper another hit

The annual T.O.P.S. Salad Supper held Monday (May 30) once again was an enjoyable and successful evening.

About 150 people attended, with four lucky ones taking home prizes.

The adult door prize (a hanging basket donated by Greensides store) was won by Angele Robichaud while Darius Smith took home the children’s door prize.

Young diver shines at meet
