The Emo Legion Branch 99 is hosting a Daytona 500 event this Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Legion. Come out and enjoy the famous Daytona race on a big screen TV. Doors open at 2 p.m. with the race starting at 2:30 p.m. The bar and kitchen will both be open.

The Emo Legion Branch 99 will be hosting “Country Rewind.” It's an evening of performed singing and playing instruments.
This Karaoke style event has several performers from the district and also some travelling from Atikokan to perform.
The Emo Legion Branch #99 will be hosting a Super Bowl party this Sunday ( Feb. 2). The party will begin at 3 p.m.
The cost is $10.00 and will include a tailgate buffet. DD'S services will be provided for rides. Come out and enjoy this event.
The Emo Legion is also hosting “Country Rewind.” This is a karaoke event with performers from near and far singing.
You can kick up your heels in Barwick this Saturday, Jan. 25 beginning at 7 p.m. This “Country Jam” always proves to be fun event, with a variety of musicians performing. The cost to attend is $5, which includes pop, water, coffee and snacks.
The next Emo Country Jam is scheduled for March 13 at the Emo Legion.
The annual Betty Kellar Memorial cribbage and 500 card party will be held this Saturday, Jan. 11, beginning at 1 p.m. The cost is $15 per person and includes supper. People can register right up until the day of the tournament. Call the Emo Legion at 482-2250 to register. Hours are from 3-6 p.m. Teams of 2 are preferred.
Emmilou and Harlan McCormick dressed as the two main characters from the 1994 hit comedy, “Dumb and Dumber,” to go trick-or-treating in Emo last Thursday.
Birch Point Camp help its annual one-day bass tournament.
Forty six teams competed this year.
Placing first place was the team of Dan Tucker and Jason Cain, who took home $3,000.
Second place was won by by the father-son duo of Leroy and Mike Wilson, who pocketed $1,500.
There will be a “Country Night” at the Barwick Hall this Friday (June 26) starting at 7 p.m.
Local musicians will provide an evening of lively music for your listening pleasure.
