Clinton pens new book

NEW YORK—Hillary Clinton is calling her new book “What Happened,” and promising unprecedented candour as she remembers her stunning defeat last year to Donald Trump.

“In the past, for reasons I try to explain, I've often felt I had to be careful in public, like I was up on a wire without a net,” Clinton writes in the introduction, according to publisher Simon & Schuster.

Eagles’ co-founder dies of ailments

NEW YORK—Glenn Frey, a rock ‘n’ roll rebel from Detroit who journeyed west, co-founded the Eagles, and with Don Henley formed one of history’s most successful songwriting teams with such hits as “Hotel California” and “Life in the Fast Lane,” has died.

Frey, 67, died of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis, and pneumonia, the band said on its website.
