Jays head on road after getting swept

TORONTO—Two blowout losses, a series sweep, and a losing streak that’s showing no signs of ending.

The Blue Jays left Toronto after another loss to Tampa Bay last night searching for answers and hoping a return to the road will help them end a nasty funk.

R.A. Dickey gave up three home runs as the Rays doubled the Jays 6-3, handing them their fifth-straight loss.

Gushue chasing elusive title

OTTAWA—Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue appears to have everything in place to make a run at capturing that elusive Tim Hortons Brier title.

He has picked up some big wins this season and is skipping the top-ranked team in the country.

Gushue also is off to a great start at the national men’s curling championship and looks primed to be in the mix come playoff time.
