Firefighters are paid on a flat rate, based upon the activity. Practices happen about twice a month for about two to two-and-a-half hours, with the occasional extra practice.
The Pioneer Museum in Emo, along with the support of the township, is holding a luncheon and silent auction fundraiser on Saturday, April 8 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Emo Legion.
The museum provides residents and visitors the opportunity to learn about—and keep alive—the history of Rainy River District through the display of more than 1,000 artifacts.
