Help needed to nourish students

The province has been in the business of funding various student nutrition programs for more than a decade.

In 2005, however, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services instituted a new regional model to support the Ontario Student Nutrition Program (OSNP). This model provides an annual amount of $8.5 million regional agencies across the province.

District township goes ‘green’

Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, well-known for the natural splendour of its forest, wildlife, and lakes, recently has added to its reputation as a “green” municipality.

Just last spring, the municipality took advantage of a one-time grant from the Rural Infrastructure Investment Initiative program in order to purchase and install a solar panel system on the municipal building.
