Scott Woods concert

Scott Woods and his band literally fiddled up a storm at the Emo Legion last Wednesday, which was the title of this year's tour. Scott, his sister, Kendra Norris, and Leo Stock, a young Canadian Open champion, entertained a very appreciative crowd. They will be back in the district—in Dryden on June 15—if you missed the Emo show.

Second-place winner

Marissa Kinnear-Esselink and her daughter, Paisley, were on hand at Cloverleaf Grocery to receive her $500 food coupon from Emo and District Lions Club president Jodi Caul. The annual “Lions Share Grocery Raffle” was a huge success thanks to residents of the district. The first-place winner will receive their prize at a later date.

Plenty of Irish flavour on horizon

The Emo and District Hospital Auxiliary will be holding its annual Shamrock tea and bake sale next Friday (March 16) from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the health centre cafeteria.

Admission is $3 and everyone is welcome!

In related news, the auxiliary will be voting on amendments to its constitution and bylaws at their meeting on April 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the health centre cafeteria.

Emo Family Day

Hayden Smith (Superman) and Kingston Smith (Super Girl) enjoyed the “Superhero Skating Party” in Emo with their parents on Family Day (Monday). The children were encouraged to participate in the activity dressed as their favourite superhero. Everyone was treated to pancakes, popcorn, and other treats.
