Legion Ladies meet

The Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on Feb. 13, with 28 members in attendance.

The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by president Alfreda Easton, and the minutes of the Jan. 9 general meeting and the Feb. 6 executive meeting were read and approved.

The charter was draped in honour of two of our recently-departed members.

New auxiliary bursary recipient chosen

The Legion Ladies' Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on Dec. 12 with 41 members in attendance.

The meeting was brought to order at 6 p.m. by president Alfreda Easton, followed by the minutes of the Nov. 14 general meeting and the Dec. 5 executive meeting being circulated and approved.

A short meeting was held to cover required year-end items and approval to pay accounts.

Legion ladies welcome guest

Members of the Br. #29 Legion Ladies Auxiliary met Wednesday, March 14 with 35 members present.

With president Silvia Gunderson presiding, reports heard from the various committees.

Guest speaker Linda Hamilton was on hand to tell the membership about the Fort Frances Community Chest, including its origin and its purpose.

New member approved for initiation

The local Legion Ladies Auxiliary held a general meeting last Wednesday (Oct. 13) with 42 members present.

A delicious potluck supper was enjoyed by all.

The charter was draped in memory of long-time members Billie Clarke and Carolyn Murray.

In other news, the name of Bonnie Penny was brought forward and approved for initiation at the November general meeting.
