The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Minnesota Iron Rangers in SIJHL action today (Oct. 6) at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, and $5 for kids 12 and under.
The Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service will hold its Fall Fire Safety Day on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Canadian Tire. Fire trucks will be on hand, along with information booths and displays. There also will be plenty of fire safety giveaways and a draw for fire safety prize packages.

The “Luncheon of Hope," a biennial event presented by the Rainy River District Breast Health Network, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at La Place Rendez-Vous. The “Keep It Hanging Around” fundraiser will run through the month of October at the Fort Frances Museum. Donate gently-used decorative pieces for the silent auction, then stop by often and bid on decor you like. Winners will be drawn each Tuesday at 4 p.m.
A bus trip is planned to see the hit musical, “Finding Neverland,” on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis.
