The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Dryden GM Ice Dogs in SIJHL action on Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, $5 for kids aged 12 and under, and free for those under five.

The Northern Lights School of Skating will hold its first-ever skating exhibition, entitled “True North," on Saturday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at "The Duke” (Couchiching Arena). Tickets cost $10 in advance/$12 at the door for adults and $5 in advance/$8 at the door for kids 12 and under (children three and under are free). The Fort Frances Sportsmen's Club will hold its annual general meeting on Monday, March 25 from 6-10 p.m. at the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau (140 Fourth St. W.) The public is welcome to attend.

A presentation on video game addiction, led by Tracey Idle, mental health leader for the Rainy River District School Board, is planned for Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 'A' of the Education Centre on Second Street East.

An evening of updates on technology and how to use in managing diabetes is set for Thursday, April 4 from 6-8 p.m. in the Shaw Room at the Fort Frances Public Library. Light snacks will be provided. A summer hiring fair, presented by Shooniya Wa-Biitong, the Rainy River District School Board, the local DSSAB, and NCDS, will be held Wednesday, April 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fort Frances High School.

The Lions Legacy Golf Tournament, presented by the Fort Frances Lions Club and the Fort Frances Voyageurs Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, June 22 starting at 10 a.m. at the Heron Landing (Couchiching). The cost is $100 each or $400/team, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and supper. Entries limited to the first 36 paid teams, with the registration deadline being June 6. “Fibre Content,” a travelling exhibit featuring award-winning artwork created from textiles, will be in the main floor gallery of the Fort Frances Museum beginning Feb. 1 and running through March.
