“Night At The Museum” will be held at the Fort Frances Museum today (Aug. 16) from 5-9 p.m. Games, a movie, flashlight tours, snacks, and more. Children ages five-12 are invited. Only 35 spots available, with the cost being $10 per child. Pre-register your child by messaging the museum on Facebook or by calling the museum at 274-7891. The event will be run by the museum staff.

The Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society will hold its annual fall fair today through Saturday (Aug. 16-18) at the Emo fairgrounds. See page C1 of Wednesday's Times for a schedule of events.

Stock car racing action goes Friday, Aug. 17 and Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Emo Speedway, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and the first race at 6:30 (weather permitting). Admission is $12 for adults and $8 for seniors/students, with those aged nine and under being free.

The 16th-annual “Ride for Memories,” presented by the local Alzheimer Society, will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, with start locations in Fort Frances, Dryden, Kenora and Sioux Lookout. The next “Open Air Art Studio,” presented by Community Living Fort Frances and District, is set for Monday, Aug. 20 from 3-7 p.m. at the McIrvine Park. The theme will be chromotography. The session is free, and all ages and abilities are welcome to attend.
