The Borealis Bards are staging “Little Shop of Horrors” on Friday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., and again on Sunday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. at the Backus Community Center in International Falls. Fort Frances High School presents “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” a comedic mashup of well-known fairy tales, on Friday, Oct. 26 to Sunday, Oct. 28 from 7-9 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre. Tickets cost $7 for adults and $5 for students/seniors, which are available at the door.
The Fort Frances Lakers will host the Thunder Bay North Stars in SIJHL action on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena. Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for students, $5 for kids 12 and under, and free for those under five.
A “haunted house” is being staged by Fort Frances Little Theatre on Oct. 27 and again on Oct. 29-31 from 6-9 p.m. at Knox United Church. Tickets cost $7 each, which are available at the door. This event is not suitable for young children!
“Trunk or Treat,” presented by Project Safe Hallowe'en, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Fort Frances Public Library. There also will be a costume cat walk fashion show from 5:30-6:15 p.m., as well as free hotdogs for kids courtesy of the Fort Frances Kiwanis Club. Great prizes also awarded for the best decorated trunks.

The Friends of the Fort Frances Museum will hold its seventh-annual wine-and-cheese fundraiser, this year entitled “Novemberfest,” on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the museum. It also will feature beer, hors d'oeuvres, live music, games, and an auction. Tickets cost $30 in advance (available at the museum) and $35 at the door.
“Monday at the Manor,” a two-act comedy dinner theatre written and directed by Tracy Gibson, will be performed Friday, Nov. 2 at the Royal Canadian Legion in Rainy River.
