The “Luncheon of Hope," a biennial event presented by the Rainy River District Breast Health Network, will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at La Place Rendez-Vous. An open art studio to make Hallowe'en masks using plaster cast will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 from noon-4 p.m. at the Fort Frances Museum. This free activity is being put on by Community Living Fort Frances and District. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The “Keep It Hanging Around” fundraiser will run through the month of October at the Fort Frances Museum. Donate gently-used decorative pieces for the silent auction, then stop by often and bid on decor you like. Winners will be drawn each Tuesday at 4 p.m.
The Friends of the Fort Frances Museum will hold their sixth-annual wine-and-cheese fundraiser, this year entitled “Novemberfest,” on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the museum. It also will feature beer, hors d'oeuvres, live music, games, and an auction. Tickets cost $30 in advance, available at the museum and From the Grind Up, and $35 at the door.
Tipping fees will be waived at the Fort Frances landfill on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for yard and garden waste only.
A bus trip is planned to see the hit musical, “Finding Neverland,” on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis. The bus will leave from the Falls High School parking lot at 5:30 a.m. Tickets cost $120 (U.S.) each, which includes the performance and transportation, with only 54 tickets available (all ages welcome). The annual Remembrance Day Tea will be held Sunday, Nov. 5 from 2-4 p.m. at the Legion.
