Both sawmills of the Shevlin-Clarke Company Ltd., will start operations
on April 2nd this year, subject to weather conditions proving favourable,
officials of the company stated today. This will come as good news to the
people of the district, as news to the people of the district, as the opening
of the second mills gives employment to aproximately 140 additional men.
Work is about completed on the reconditioning of both plants, a crew of
twelve to fourteen men have been steadily employed at these duties since
January 1st.
Latest reports from the mill state that shipping orders are picking up very
